Jingle Bell Run... 1 of 2

So today we ran in the first of two scheduled Jingle Bell Runs for Arthritis. It was freaking HILLY... 3 up hills, 2 down hills, 3.1 miles.

Mike did very well on pushing his way up the hills. I am very proud of him for working so hard at this. He makes it easy for me to take the time out of my daily schedule to run or workout, because I know that he wants to do the same. Now mind you - I run alone, and workout with Par or Tara... .but I know that Mike supports me and appreciates how this impacts my life.

The run was pretty uneventful on the whole. It was my first run in the snow this year (I thought of you Angie!!!), so that was a nice change of pace. Thank goodness I am a running apparel junkie and happen to have a lot of winter running clothes.

Next up is getting an iPod jacket. Sweet.

Well it is official. I bought the plane tickets and the hotel room for PF Chang's. I am so excited I am also so nervous. My injury after the Freep left me not running for a month. Now I am in the middle of working on a few finals for school and find a lot of my time is wrapped up in that.

On the plus side no more classes here on out so I will be able to run more after work and prior to the gym. I need to work on my scheduling, but I am fit enought to complete the 13.1 in Jan. I just am shakey on my goal time.

Originally I wanted to run it in under 2:40... but given my recovery, maybe I will leave that goal for another race.

Oh well. Enjoy your Sunday

YAyyyyy for the tickets and hotel. You will still do great during the half marathon. I have not ran that much in the last month and still kick a**. Good luck on the finals.

Just consider this time off as your 'rest' time. Keep your sub 2:40 goal it's still attainable.
