A Turkey Trot and a day of thanks!

Happy turkey day to everyone tomorrow! I hope that you all have a warm and wonderful (stress-free) holiday!

I am super excited for tomorrow - it marks my first race since the Run for the Detroit Zoo back in September. A lot has happened since then... less pain, more growth. A better understanding of myself and my needs.

And at the end of the day I will have ran 3.1 miles, traveled up north to visit with my family then back down this way to visit with Mike's family. Friday I continue the celebration and head back north to spend the day with my friends' family in Grand Blanc, then wrapping up the festivities Friday night with some nice hanging out with a few other friends before heading back down here. A LOT of driving... a LOT of family and friends. A LOT of fun!

So in keeping with the spirit of the holiday I am going to give thanks to all that I have to be grateful for.

I am thankful that I am loved by my friends and family.

I am thankful for all that I have been blessed with.

I am thankful that I have a body with which I can accomplish great things - if I put my mind to it ;).

I am grateful for the impact that I have in others' lives.

I am thankful for each and every day as it is a new opportunity to make something wonderful.

And I am thankful for the opportunities that have come my way and for every person who has made this journey as wonderful as it has been.

Happy Thanksgiving!
